Crafting and outfits
Schematics, components and materials explained — plus how outfits buff your Stand, where each outfit drops and how equipment weight changes your build.

The crafting loop
- Get a schematic. They drop from Excavation, Trials, story events and NPC kills.
- Open CRAFTING from the in-game menu and pick the schematic. The menu lists the components and materials it needs.
- Check your materials. If you are short, the game only warns you — it does not tell you which item you are missing, so count your components first.
- Craft. The item goes to your inventory and the schematic is destroyed. One schematic is one craft, which is why duplicate schematics are never junk.
| Crafting result | Typical requirement | Where the recipe comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Outfits | Items + Components | Schematic |
| Arrows | Cash + components (Arrow schematic is $1,000) | Schematic |
| Pure Arrow | $100,000 + 5× Gold Ingot + components | Schematic |
| Requiem Arrow | $20,000 + 3× Gold Ingot + 5× Meteorite Shard + 2× Wood | Schematic |
Outfits: buffs, themes and weight
Outfits are sets themed around JoJo characters, and each one boosts the Stand it is associated with — Josuke's Outfit enhances Crazy Diamond, for example. Beyond that, sets differ in what they actually improve:
| Outfit type | What it improves |
|---|---|
| Stand-linked outfits | The associated Stand's performance |
| Speciality-linked outfits | Your speciality |
| Weapon-linked outfits | Weapon handling |
| General outfits | Overall player stats |
Set pieces are not just buffs — every piece carries weight, and weight comes from the resistances the piece offers. More resistances means more weight, and more weight fights your Agility branch and your sprint and dash. A build is therefore a trade, not a shopping list.
Where outfits come from
| Source | Notes |
|---|---|
| Crafting | The only route to most outfits |
| Defeating NPCs | Including Dimensional Tears and Trial bosses |
| Trials | Shared drops — everyone in the run gets the drop |
| Story events | Part-gated |
| Quests | Usually single-outfit unlocks |
| Seasonal events | Halloween, Christmas, anniversary and winter sets — event windows only |
Which components actually matter
The published recipes lean on a small set of materials over and over, so these are the ones worth banking:
| Component | Used in | Why you care |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Ingot | Pure Arrow (5×), Requiem Arrow (3×) | The bottleneck for both premium arrows |
| Meteorite Shard | Requiem Arrow (5×) | The other half of the Requiem recipe |
| Wood | Requiem Arrow (2×) | Cheap, but always short when you need it |
| Schematics | Every crafted item | Consumed on use — duplicates are never wasted |
FAQ
Can I get outfits without crafting? Yes, but rarely — events, quests and specific NPCs drop them. Crafting is the documented route to most of the set.
Does a failed craft lose my materials? The game blocks the craft with a warning if you lack components, so materials are not silently eaten. The schematic is what you lose on a successful craft.
Do outfits change my Stand's moves? No — they buff stats and the associated Stand, they do not replace the moveset.
